With the spread of Coronavirus now affecting many countries throughout the world, and with cases now being reported in the UK, we wish to inform you of the action being taken by Pensworth to minimise risk to our customers and staff.
We currently conduct return to work interviews following all periods of absence, and through this process would expect to determine any members of staff who could be a risk.
To our knowledge no members of our staff have travelled to affected areas and we have no reports of any member of our staff with symptoms of Coronavirus
We have asked our Managers to monitor the situation and report centrally any illness, with Coronavirus symptoms, and have posted the attached advice notice from the Government on all our notice boards.
In addition, Pensworth will follow the advice of Public Health England in relation to the action to take in relation to Coronavirus which is as follows:
This advice applies to travellers who have returned to the UK from any of the affected areas. A full list of those areas affected are on the Public Health England website, which is updated daily as the position changes.
If you have returned to the UK from any of these areas and develop symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:
Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu.
Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country.
We will continually review the situation in light of developments and implement any changes as recommended by Public Health England.
