Pensworth is a well-established dairy company that operates and milk processing dairy at Southampton and seven distribution depots throughout the south of England and Wales.  The business has seen continued growth and now has an annual turnover of circa £50 million.

Available Positions

Delivery Drivers – 3.5 ton vehicles

Pensworth drivers deliver milk and associated products to their customers on 3.5 ton vehicles, working six days, Monday to Saturday, early starts from1.00 am, on a job and finish basis.

Candidates need a full UK driving licence in order to deliver milk and associated products to Pensworth customers.  Duties include loading unloading vehicles, lifting crates trolleys and products on and off of vehicles and accounting for the goods that they are responsible for.

Candidates must be reliable, presentable and customer focused able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines. Previous experience would be an advantage although full training will be given to the successful applicants.  Candidates also need to be numerate and literate.

Delivery Drivers – +3.5 -7.5 ton vehicles

Pensworth drivers deliver milk and associated products to their customers on +3.5ton -7.5 ton vehicles, working six days Monday to Saturday, early starts from 1 am, on a job and finish basis.

Candidates need a full UK driving licence in order to deliver milk and associated products to Pensworth customers. Driving this category of vehicles requires the driver to have a full CPC, in line with transport authorities regulations, and the relevant Driver Qualification Card (DQC). Duties include loading unloading vehicles, lifting crates trolleys and products on and off of vehicles and accounting for the goods that they are responsible for.
 
Candidates must be reliable, presentable , customer focused and able to work under pressure to meet time deadlines. Previous experience would be an advantage although full training will be given to the successful applicants.  Candidates also need to be numerate and literate.

LGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers

Class 1 and 2 drivers work 5/6 days, Monday to Saturday with variable start times on a job and finish basis. Successful candidates will need a full Class 1 or 2 driving licence and be in possession of the full CPC and Driver Qualification Card in order to deliver milk and associated products to Pensworth customers.  Duties include loading and unloading vehicles lifting trolleys crates and products on and off the vehicles.
 
Candidates must be reliable, presentable and customer focused. Candidates will need to be numerate and literate in order to complete paperwork accurately and they must also be able to work under pressure to meet time deadlines. Previous experience would be an advantage.  LGV drivers are expected to deliver milk and products in a timely and effective manner to customers, to unload the product to each customer’s specific location and delivery point. Drivers check the paperwork to ensure that all orders are correct whilst they are dropped off at the customer specific location.

Dispatch Operative

Candidates will need a forklift truck licence in order to carry out the duties associated with this role. They will handle food products within the storage and distribution buildings whilst collating and preparing customer orders for accurate dispatch. Operatives must ensure the dispatch area and yard are clean and tidy which is a fundamental part of the role, and in addition take  responsibility for  any damages that must be quarantined and reported.
 
Candidates must be reliable presentable, customer focused have good communication skills, be able to complete paperwork accurately and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Administration Assistant

General administration assistance for assisting office processes through data input, account reconciliations, taking customer orders and payments over the telephone and other general administration duties. Candidates need to be numerate, literate, with an eye for detail, computer literate with a knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel and able to use basic formulas. General working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.00 pm with some roles requiring weekend working on a rota basis. There is normally a requirement for flexibility of the office administration team in line with operational requirements. Previous office experience is normally required for these roles.

MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Credit Controller

The credit control team works with a growing list of customers on an ongoing basis to ensure queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. They also work closely with the sales and accounts teams to optimise customers credit experience. Candidates are expected to have the ability to develop good business relationships with their regular and new customers.
 
Candidates will be required to have previous experience as a credit controller with a track record in achieving results. They must have competent oral and written communication skills with an ability to evaluate queries and advise clients in a timely and professional manner. A high level of personal drive and self-motivation with a willingness to learn new tasks. Flexiblity is desirable as are proven analytical Excel and computer skills and a keen eye for accuracy and quality.
